Album Review - Kaleo, Surface Sounds

Today marks the day of the long awaited "Surface Sounds" by Kaleo. As a long time fan of the band, I've been waiting for this album for quiet awhile now because of how the recording process got postponed due to COVID. This band is at the forefront of the rock music scene due to their hard hitting songs that draw from raw emotion and inspiring lyrics.

During the time we had to wait, the band dropped 5 singles off the album to keep us preoccupied in the mean time while they finished up the rest of the album. Of the singles, I'd have to say my favorite is "Break My Baby". The live versions they've preformed on high profile late night TV shows as well as their live video from the lighthouse on Þrídrangar, Iceland just captivates you in some kind of way.

This album doesn't disappoint and I am thankful for the band taking their time with getting all the puzzle pieces to fit making it the foundation for a timeless classic that will be played for years to come.
